Hariyali Teej Puja Vidhi

It is said that the vrat or fast observed on this day is quite difficult. In order to get the blessings of both Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, the rites must be carried out with the utmost care. As a result, we have listed the full puja vidhi on this day below:

On this day, women are advised to rise early, preferably during the religious Brahma Muhurat, which is two hours before sunrise.

• To prepare for the puja, take a bath and dress in green.
• Use holy water to wash the chowki and puja chamber.
• Cover the chowki with a fresh red or white cloth.
• Create the idols of Goddess Parvati, Lord Shiva, and their child, Lord Ganesha, using organic clay. One may even employ the metal idols of the Gods if this is not possible.
• With the utmost reverence, place the idols on the chowki.
• To the right of the chowki, light a ghee or oil lamp.
• Begin the ritual by calling upon Lord Ganesha.
• Put akshat on the Shiv linga or the idol of God and place a copper kalash in front of it with Kalava spun around the Kalash.
• Put betel nut, kumkum, haldi and Ganga jal on the kalash.
• Utilize mango leaves so that their tips are left exposed and their ends touch the water inside the Kalash.
• Create the idols of Goddess Parvati, Lord Shiva, and their child, Lord Ganesha, using organic clay. One may even employ the metal idols of the Gods if this is not possible.
• With the utmost reverence, place the idols on the chowki.
• To the right of the chowki, light a ghee or oil lamp.
• Begin the ritual by calling upon Lord Ganesha.
• A copper kalash should be placed in front of the Shiv linga or other godly idol, and Kalava should be spun around the Kalash.
• Put haldi, Gangajal, betel nuts, kumkum, and kumkum on the kalash.
• Use mango leaves so that the tips of the leaves are left exposed and the ends of the leaves touch the water inside the Kalash.
